Positions are neutral and deterministic: every approved listing gets a stable position that does not reward how recently it was added, how big the company is, or any payment. Tools whose official site failed our latest availability check, or no longer appeared to match the listing, are moved to the bottom until the flag is cleared by a later check or by manual review. There is no paid placement, no affiliate influence, and no way to buy a position — see the full listing criteria. Positions come from a fixed hash of each listing's ID — a neutral rotation, not a quality score. Flagged sites (failed check / drift) sink to the bottom.

“Facts on record: n of 5” counts how many of five verifiable facts our automated check found on a tool’s official site: the site answered our latest facts check (live ✓), the platforms it lists, a pricing page, documentation, and a public source repository. Fields we could not verify are simply not counted — nothing is inferred or filled in. It is a coverage count, not a rating: a tool with 2 of 5 is not worse than one with 5 of 5, we just hold fewer verified facts about it.
